Adria G. Notari

Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman, P.A

Adria G. Notari was first exposed to maritime law while studying at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, where she received her degree in marine transportation, with honors.  Prior to becoming a trial lawyer, she was a crewmember aboard merchant vessels and made several international voyages as captain.  She simultaneously served as an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve, attaining the rank of lieutenant.

While earning her juris doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law, she was a staff editor of the law review and a national competitor on the moot court team.  After spending the first 6 years of her legal career defending vessel interests and insurance companies, Adria dedicated herself to helping individuals and businesses against those who wrong them.

As a member of the Admiralty Law Committee of the Florida Bar, she stays on top of recent developments in the field of admiralty law.  She is a frequent presenter at maritime seminars on topics including shipboard incident investigation, marine salvage, bodily injury litigation, and marine insurance.  Adria is admitted to practice in all Florida state and federal courts, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Her diverse maritime background—afloat, ashore, and in the courtroom—imparts specialized value to the firm’s clients.  She also speaks Spanish, Italian, and French to assist our international clientele.
